Josh Mackey is the vice president of government relations for FrogueClark and manages the operations of the firm’s Atlanta office. Josh has strong expertise in multiple policy areas and is a trusted adviser to key decision makers across the State of Georgia. He utilizes his extensive experience in public policy development, political consulting, grassroots campaigns, and small business development to successfully service the diverse needs of his clients. In recognition of his success, Jamesmagazine named Josh as one of the Rising Stars in the state of Georgia in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Prior to joining FrogueClark, Josh served as the vice president of government affairs at Brock Clay, where he was the lead government relations consultant for major companies and statewide associations. Before joining the private sector, Josh spent several years as a staff member for the Georgia General Assembly in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Josh has held an extensive list of staff and volunteer positions on political campaigns in the state of Georgia. He has served as the deputy political director for State Senate Majority Leader Bill Stephens’s 2006 campaign for secretary of state. In 2010, Josh served as the Cobb County chairman for Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s campaign. In 2011, Josh worked for Citizens for Cobb’s Future in the passage of the SPLOST renewal. During the 2016 election cycle, Josh served as co-chairman of the Georgia Leadership Team for Marco Rubio for President in addition to working on numerous campaigns for members of the Georgia General Assembly. Outside of politics, Josh serves as the chairman of the University of Georgia’s School of Public & International Affairs Alumni Board.
Josh graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia State University. He currently resides in Brookhaven with his wife, Kallarin.
